What is Online Remote Proctoring with Prometric ProProctor?
WebCE has partnered with Prometric to provide remote proctoring exam sessions using Prometric’s ProProctor™ application. Using this remote proctoring service allows you to pre-schedule a time and date for completing your CE exam at a location of your choice to satisfy the proctoring requirements in your state. You will be able to take your WebCE course exam online while a Prometric proctor is overseeing the examination process remotely.
To ensure a positive experience using ProProctor throughout your exam, please read the following information
Before scheduling your exam
- Confirm your course is eligible for remote proctoring. If you are unsure, please contact WebCE at 877-488-9308 for assistance
- Check to make sure your internet speeds are at least 10MB. To test your speed, go to Fast.com.
- Have access to and install a working webcam.
- Review your system compatibility in advance by going to Prometric's System Check.
- Important information regarding various devices
- Chromebook: Not supported
- iPad and Android Tablets: Not supported
- Microsoft Surface: Must turn off tablet mode. How to turn off tablet mode.
- Determine the amount of time you think your proctoring session will take and allocate sufficient time in your planning.

Schedule exam at least 2-4 days prior to exam date
- You will receive a confirmation letter from Prometric with your confirmation number. This will be needed to make any changes to your scheduled exam.
- For your exam, you are required to download the most current ProProctor Application by going to https://rpcandidate.prometric.com and entering in your confirmation number and last name.
On exam date
- Important: Use the same workspace setup, location,and system you used during your pre-check of internet speed and system check.
- Make sure your testing environment is clean and clear of clutter. Exams can be paused or cancelled due to a cluttered desk or area.
- Please read these details on prohibited items.
- Have your Prometric confirmation number ready.
- On test day, you will be required to present one valid, government-issued photo ID that is legible. Acceptable Forms of ID are:
- Driver’s License
- Passport
- Military ID Card
- State Issued ID
- When all the above steps are complete, perform the following steps 15-30 minutes before your scheduled start time:
- Launch the exam
- Successfully complete the system check.
- Select the appropriate icon under REMOTE PROCTOR EXAM SESSION on left hand side.
- Complete your pre-flight process with your proctor.
- Finally take your exam during the scheduled time window.
To reschedule or cancel your exam
- You can schedule, and make changes to your scheduled exam, at https://proscheduler.prometric.com/home
- Your confirmation number will be required to make any changes to your scheduled exam.
- Additional Fees for Rescheduling:
- 15+ days before your scheduled exam there are no additional fees.
- 2-4 days before your scheduled exam there is a $10 Prometric charge for rescheduling a ProProctor session.
- If you cancel with less than two days before your scheduled session you will forfeit the full fee paid and you must re-apply at full price.
What happens if I have problems with my exam or system check?
- Please utilize the chatbot in ProProctor for assistance.
- All ProProctor services are managed by Prometric. Once you leave the WebCE platform, all issues must be resolved by Prometric.
