Information About NAFC

There are now two ways to take your exam. As a candidate, you have the option to take your exam either in a Prometric Testing Center or through a remotely proctored internet enabled location of your choice where you must provide a computer with a camera, microphone and an internet connection.

Schedule Your Exam

1. To schedule your exam at a Prometric Testing Center

Select “Schedule” from the options on the left-hand side.

2. To schedule a Remotely Proctored Exam

Remote exams are offered using Prometric’s ProProctorTM application online. For a remotely proctored exam, you must supply a computer which must have a camera, microphone and an internet connection and be able to install a lightweight app prior to the test event. You will be able to take the exam online while a Prometric proctor is overseeing the examination process remotely.

Rescheduling or Cancelling Your Exam

After scheduling your appointment, you may reschedule or cancel using the links on the left side of this page up to 5 calendar days in advance of your appointment date.

30 or more calendar days prior to your appointment date, there is no fee to reschedule or cancel your appointment.  If you cancel, you will be able to make a new appointment within your eligibility period immediately.

29 to 5 calendar days prior to your appointment date, there is a $35 fee to reschedule or cancel your appointment.  If you cancel, you will be able to make a new appointment within your eligibility period immediately.

4 or fewer calendar days prior to your appointment date, reschedule is not permitted.  Cancellation will forfeit your exam fee, and you will be required to re-register with NAFC before a new appointment can be scheduled.

You may reschedule your appointment to change from a Test Center to a Remotely Proctored exam, or vice-versa.  If you reschedule your appointment and remain at a Test Center or change to a Test Center, click the Reschedule link under Test Center Exam.  If you reschedule your appointment and remain a Remotely Proctored Exam, or change to a Remotely Proctored, click the Reschedule link under Remotely Proctored Exam.
