ABOMR – American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology
Welcome! Arriving at this page means you’re well on your way to scheduling your ABOMR Part 1 Certifying Examination a fully remote, proctored examination at an internet enabled private location of your choice. You must provide a computer with a camera, microphone, and a stable internet connection.
You will be able to take the exam online while a Prometric proctor is overseeing the entire examination process remotely.
Please take note that an active Eligibility ID is still required to schedule your ABOMR Part 1 Certifying Examination.
Scheduling your Exam
To schedule a Remotely Proctored Exam
Please call the Prometric Center at 1-800- 853-6764. The operation hours are from 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM EST.
Online, remote exams are offered using Prometric’s ProProctor™ application which is installed on your computer (PC or MAC) and displayed on your monitor. Therefore, the most important first step is to confirm your computer’s compatibility to allow remote proctoring.

- Download the ProProctor App
- Launch the ProProtor App
- Login using your confirmation number and your last name
- Conduct an enhanced system check

Payment
No payment is required at the time of scheduling. The ABOMR handles payment through their online portal.
Cancellation Policy
The ABOMR has a separate cancellation policy which is described in the ABOMR Policy and Procedures Manual (version Feb 28, 2024), available here. If you have any questions regarding the ABOMR cancellation policy, please contact your sponsor at admin@abomr.org.

Your accommodation must be approved before scheduling your appointment through Prometric.
