Welcome to the IRS Special Enrollment Exam (SEE). Individuals wishing to become an IRS Enrolled Agent must take and pass the SEE. Before you sign up to take the SEE, please read and follow the instructions in the Candidate Information Bulletin.

This page only contains information about the SEE for prospective Enrolled Agents. Information about the Registered Tax Return Preparer competency test is available at IRS.gov.

You may schedule your appointment for the testing period May 1, 2012 - February 28, 2013.  There is no testing in March and April, 2013.

You must first REGISTER for each exam prior to making an appointment. For instance, if you fail an exam, you must register again before attempting to schedule a new appointment.
