Important Information from the NC Department of Insurance for Licensees with 2008 CE Compliance Dates

Points to emphasize at this time are:
- The following items must be directed to the North Carolina Department of Insurance:
- Corrections to Date of Birth
- Corrections to License Status
- Name Changes
- Credits earned before January 1, 2008
- Carryover credits from 2007 to be applied to 2008. Prometric is not empowered to change carryover credits unless directed to do so by the Department.
- As part of Prometric's required services, a warning notice will be sent to licensees who are not yet compliant approximately 120 days before their due date and again around 45 days from their due date. If you are compliant, then a notice will not be sent.
- All individuals who hold a major line of authority license and adjusters will be required to complete three hours of an ethics training/CE within two years of January 1, 2008 and every two years thereafter.
- Individuals holding a Property, Personal Lines or adjuster license will also be required to complete three hours of flood insurance training/CE within two years of January 1, 2008 and every four years thereafter. There are no exceptions from these mandatory course requirements.
